THE FILMMAKERS

Shane Howard and Stephen Felix met in the middle of Times Square, New York City in 2014 and quickly learned they had more in common than Midwest roots and a hankering to find the best hamburger in NYC. They actually lived only a few blocks away from… — Shane Howard and Stephen Felix met in the middle of Times Square, New York City in 2014 and quickly learned they had more in common than Midwest roots and a hankering to find the best hamburger in NYC. They actually lived only a few blocks away from each other in Flatbush, Brooklyn.
Daily walks to each other’s apartments for writing sessions resulted in their original play, The Old Man: Something That Happened, which was accepted into the Strawberry Theatre Festival. The play also received an opportunity to be produced and featured at the historic 13th Street Repertory Theatre. Having to choose between one of the two incredible opportunities, they premiered off-off-broadway in the summer of 2015.
Following the run, Shane and Stephen traveled back to their roots in the Midwest to write and expand on themes from the play. This sparked the creation of the film, Lost Bucolic. The production was captured on an iPhone over the course of three days.

Zack Pistora is a producer and environmental lobbyist who grew up on a family pig farm outside of Lawrence, Kansas. He works full-time as a lobbyist for Sierra Club where for over the last five years he’s been in the Kansas legislature offering perspectives on environmental issues.
He is in the process of transforming his conventional family farm into a modern, large-scale permaculture operation. Zack is also passionate about working closely with his generation to get them more involved politically.

Nathan Felix is a self-trained composer who has traveled the world with his music. In 2013 he released his first symphony, The Curse the Cross & the Lion, to critical acclaim including features by the BBC and numerous NPR stations around the U.S.. A subsequent documentary by director David Schulte titled, The Curse & The Symphony, captured the story of a young, ambitious and rebellious musician searching for truth and identity within classical structures of culture and society.
Nathan’s most recent work is his choral symphony, Neon Heaven. It debuted in Austin, Texas in March 2015 during SXSW. In 2016, Nathan was featured on PBS for his work with the 6-Piano project where he restored six pianos for a concert. After the concert, Nathan donated the pianos to schools in lower income neighborhoods in Austin.
In addition to his recent work with orchestra and films, Nathan has served as an official music ambassador for the U.S. in China and has composed music for a series of commercials.

Ruya has her hands in many projects as a producer throughout the East Coast and Europe. She has produced a number of award winning short films such as "Najmia", "One Second Changes Everything", "Before We Lose", "In the Life of A Child", "The Poem of A Memory" and "Remember to Love". "Before We Lose" was an official selection at the 2014 BAFTA and Academy Award affiliated Foyle Film Festival in Northern Ireland. "Najmia" was an official selection at the 2015 Interfilm Berlin Festival, 2016 Miami International Film Festival and the 2015 FOLCS Film Festival (Time Warner Center, NYC) and the film also won the Best Narrative Short Film Award at Chennai International Short Film Festival in 2015. Ruya also just produced two short films directed by Tribeca alumni Robin Rose Singer and Jack Marchetti.
